UN dangerous / Hazardous goods classification

There are many confusions as to what the UN codes actually means when looking at them and how to interpret them. You especially have to be aware of this, when you are transporting ammunition to and from a hunting site un public roads.

The M2A1-LWAC(R), available for commercial purchase is certified as: UN 4H2/Y18.5/S/18/DK/ETi-18004. Other variants are available below, if you are transporting explosives or hazardous chemicals. Please contact us for more information.

MIL-STD, DEF-STAN and STANAG classification

The LWAC-M2A1 is classified as “CLASS J”, according to DEF-STAN 81-41

  • Storage requirements: Storage for a minimum of 2 years world-wide with full weather protection
  • Distribution requirements: Movement and handling by any means

The LWAC-M2A1 is classified as “Nato Packaging Level – 1”, according to STANAG 4280

  • Storage requirements: Storage for 1 year outdoors in NATO worldwide
  • Distribution requirements: Open or enclosed movement by land, air or sea under operational conditions. Multiple handling
