The LWAC-M2A1 Light Weight Ammunition Container is a perfect companion for your ammunition, cartridges and weapons. The LWAC-M2A1 is designed as a one-to-one replacement of the old steel M2A1, with extra features. Some of the improvements made are;
- 100% watertight
- Stacking knobs
- TSA sealing hole
- Interlocking parts (no welds)
- Easy lock handle
The container is developed in conjunction with the Danish Technological Institute, NAMMO RAUFOSS (one of the worlds largest ammunition manufacturers), military agencies from across the world and special forces. The case is off-course perfect for your 0.50cal machine gun, but if you do not have one of those laying around, it’s also good for fishing gear, geo-caching and other outdoor activities.
What ammunition does the LWAC M2A1 container hold?
The LWAC is perfect for ammunition ranging from 12.7mm/0.50Cal and smaller. Is has a flat bottom for better storage, enabling you to put ammunition cardboard boxes in which doesn’t tilt, potentially damaging/chipping the ammunition. The ammo box is made specifically to meet the requirements of the military and special forces from around the world.

About the M2A1 0.50cal ammunition box
The old steel M2A1 Ammunition Can / Box (also called Chest Ammunition: M2A1 or Box, Metal, M2A1) was introduced during the 1950s for .50 caliber machine gun ammunition. – read the full history here. The M2A1 ammo can was designed to hold link belts of 100 cartridges of.50 cal. ammunition for theM2 Browning machine gun, but was in fact utilized to transport and store many other ammo calibres and packaging.
